I posted in natural parenting although I had meant to post here, although I suppose it is relevant to that area too but I cannot work it out! I am used to the bykay wrap which I love, but thought it may get too hot in summer. The babasling seems to be so confusing, I think I'm not getting the initial fit right either… also he is 10 weeks old but very long and weighed over 15 lbs. last week so don't know whether he has outgrown the easy tiger hold for example.

So confused! Does anyone have any advice at all as I'm baffled! Thanks x

No help I'm afraid but I have never used mine. It always felt like the baby was going to fall out. Could not get my head round it at all!

I spoke to the lady who runs my local sling library about babasling, and she said that it can be hard to fit right. So some people love it because it happens to fit them perfectly and it's a really good sling for them, but a lot of people can't adjust it to the 'perfect' position, so it can feel a bit loose or uncomfy on the shoulder. So it might just be that you or your LO are just not the 'right' shape/build/whatever for it, and in that case it might not be that you're doing something wrong, just that it's quite hard to get the fit just 'so' for a lot of people. x

I am short and my baby is tall so perhaps that might not help. I'll get my husband to give it a go as hopefully it will work on him.

I'm glad I'm not the only one (not that I'm glad it doesn't work for you too!). Thanks for your replies x

I had a babasling and couldn't get it comfy either. In the end I gave up but as baby wanted to be close I joined the facebook affordable slings page where I bought a cheap ring sling. I've never looked back, so so comfy and supportive and makes carrying an absolute joy. Babaslings are a popular as most high street names sell them the can be really tricky to use and there are far better alternatives out there with gorgeous designs (but beware, you can get addicted!)
