Hi so maybe I'm stressing again for no reason but was hoping someone could offer some advise as can't find anything on net.
Had my 13 weeks scan and baby measured 76mm putting him at 13 weeks 4 days. Had my gender scan last week (team blue yay!) and baby measured 10cm.
So in 2 weeks 5 days he had grown 2.4cm. Is this enough as I thought they grew more than that? Also, he was measuring ahead at 13 weeks scan then small at 16 weeks? I thought they were about 11.6cm at 16 weeks?
So my worry is that baby hasn't grown enough. Am I being silly?

I think its completely normal since the baby was measuring ahead at 13 weeks..after 12 weeks all babies grow at different rates..the baby will play catch up..i wouldn't worry about it..I know..easier said than done right?

Mine was measuring off by over a week which freaked me out but when I had the 13 week scan the baby had caught up. :hugs:

My peanut measured small at my first scan and measured ahead at my second one. At a certain point, it's more genetics than a uniform growth rate. For ex, doctors can say that up until point x, most babies will go "x" mm a week (or whatever), but at point y, it's when the baby's individual genes start to kick in. The reason my baby was measuring ahead is cause his daddy is tall and was a big baby, so he's growing a little bit more now that his genetics have taken over on development :) If you and/or your significant other are small, this could be a reason why baby is a little smaller now. LOTS of time to continue growing. As long as your doc isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry about it :)

Yer my OH said that he can't keep growing fast otherwise he would be massive and that he will have growth spurts then even out and cant grow exactly the same every week. I guess I just need to stop worrying, I think it was because of 16mm measurement and I thought that was small and nowhere on net tells you how many mm a week after a certain time they should grow only average measurements for that week which goes up around 1-2cm a week.
Me and OH are both tall. Xxx

Babies grow at different rates. As long as the baby looks healthy and isn't really small (two or more weeks at a time) then you are most likely golden. Congrats on the little man!

Thanks! She said everything looked great placenta fluid etc. He was facing us then spun around to show us back of his head hehe. Thanks girls don't know what I would do without this site sometimes!

Xxx

Agree with everyone else above, my little one was small(can't remember size exactly) around 10cm at 12 weeks. Then had a scan at 16, she was measuring 11.7, then had another scan at 17 weeks and she was measuring 15cm!
Congratulations on your little boy!
