Baby backing bum up???

Whyyyyy does my baby keep backing his bum up against my right rib cage? I really can't figure out what he's trying to do in there! It almost seems like he's afraid of falling out so he backs up as much as he can, lol. It's really cute, but really weird.

My baby does this too but it's more into my belly - right of my navel. I wonder if the baby is reaching for his/her feet? Often I feel the butt move to one side and have a bump on the other side which I think are both hands and feet. I constantly try to figure it out as well and wish we could put a little camera in there.

Hehe I love when she sticks her bum out, which is most of the time. She has her head engaged, bum to the left of my navel and her legs across my belly to the right so she can stretch them as much as possible. As soon as I stroke my belly or touch her feet she goes crazy moving about.

Hehe, I'm glad to hear I'm not alone! I think it's cute but I just couldn't figure out why! Must just be stretching.

It's cause they don't have much more room left in there, they are getting pretty squished right now lol so if they stretch there's really no where to go other then in your ribs. My boy has been doing it lots too, can't tell if its a head or bum though ATM. I couldn't bend over the other day he was so jammed in there it was so uncomfortable.

My girl does this. It's her favorite position apparently. It makes it so uncomfortable to sit down or bend over :/

My baby does this exact same thing - especially when I'm trying to relax! It is so uncomfortable!

I'm glad I'm so tall; she's not yet worked out she can kick up and reserves all her kicks for sideways. So other than her and the placenta taking up a couple of inches above my navel, my upper belly is pretty much free of baby.
