They look cool but I wouldnt personally get one done incase it affects the baby in any way! Like if the paint like seeps through to him or something...
Ah I worry too much :/

hehe ^ your reply made me think of a baby smurf :flower:

i think they're really pretty :flow:

Thanks for your replies :) ..
Been interesting reading some views on this.
I really want to get it done, so excited x

I wanted to do it when I was pregnant but didn't get around to it. You can order kits specifically for that off eBay or Amazon  They have bump casting kits too, if you're worried about paint you could plaster your bump then paint the mold?

Im actually the lady in the top row of those images painting a sunset scene on a pregnant mum..Im also shown a row down having had my own bump painted..

I can assure anyone wanting it done that its perfectly safe..but do make sure you go a professional face and body artist and assure they use waterbased paints suitable for use on the face and body..

having had it done myself with Olivia I found it really relaxing and a lovely keepsake of my pregnancy

here are some other bumps Ive painted

Me and my partner painted my 1st baby bump, it was lovely to do it together, we bought some snazzaroo face paints from ELC so they were ok to use on children so i assumed fine to use on baby bumps lol! they were tho anyway, no rash, no annoyed baby kicks and no multicolored baby at birth :) me and OH are not very artistic, i can paint small flowers and he copied them on my lower bump, a part of me that i couldnt reach! it was a lovely bonding experience, and once my new bump sets in we will be doing it again only this time we have had practice with my daughter liking her face painted all the time! ( maybe she caught a face painting addiction when we painted the bump!) anyway im sure we will have just as much fun this time, if not more becasue my daughter can paint my bump too! :)

i say go for it! if you want to get it done proffessionaly then go for it, it will look beautifull! but its lots more fun with the OH, plus then you can feel comfortable to paint your whole pregnant body, bump, boobs and glowing face, a lovely reminder or how you looked when you were pregnant :)
