I was wondering if anyone would mind helping me try to decide on a baby Carrier  We're big dog walkers so a carrier is a must! I have narrowed it down to the back pack type rather than the woven or sling ones (I love them but they're not "blokey" enough!!) Can anyone recommend one to go for?? I love the Bruin 3 way carriers (baby facing in, out or carried on back) but it's out of stock at Toysrus, and then there's the I love my bear 4 way carrier which also looks great  but i love having other peoples opinions on what they have and like using.

I basically need something thats easy to clip up and go, ability to take baby in/out easily without waking, sturdy & comfy for baby, would suit me and my ex when he wants to use it and maybe a pocket or two would be handy as well?!?

Any help would really be apreciated, thanks for reading :hugs:

I was going to go for a baby sling type but recently read a news article citing potential safety dangers, and some ladies on here have said they ended up not being as comfortable as they originally looked.

So I was pointed to a couple of other types...Mei Tei and Babyhawk seems to be really popular with the moms and the fabric can be had in many types so one could find a neutral fabric. I don't know about it having any pockets though.

I personally don't like the backpack type carriers as I had one with my son 7 years ago and found it extremely difficult to get him in and out of it by myself, and it seemed like such a hassle if he fussed just after getting him in it, to then have to get him right back out. Maybe they have types that are easier to get baby in and out of now, though, I dunno!

I think in the end it's a pretty personal thing and you'll probaby know once you see one, what type appeals to you.

I've bought a Connecta. It can be used for a front or back carry, it's easy to put on, very comfortable and comes in a whole range of fabrics. Mine is chocolate corduroy so hubby is happy to wear it too. The sleephood on the Integra model can be used as a pocket, although I just went for the Original. I've tested it with my two year old in and it seems great!

I have this one..

Having NO previous experience, I just got what my friends have since they have fresh, new recommendations ;)
