Have just packed my bag and put

4/5 new born short sleeve vests
2 new born long sleeve vests
4 new born sleepsuits
2 new born leggings
2 new born hats
2 new born socks

Also 1 pack ofnewborn nappies, 3 muslins and a pack of wipes.

Still have blanket or 2 to put in. But what else do I need or is that plenty?

DS1 went through the 2 or 3 we packed for him lol

Something warm for when you go home maybe?

Ds was born in march and we put a blanket over him as the carseats make them warm. But I might pop the little jacket I have in there but its quite thick.

Weather has been so unpredictable! Doesn't look like we're getting much of a summer. Mind you my baby has always hated warm tops so it's always just been an extra blanket and a hat.

That was the same with oliver. I might get some just incase but if he is anything like his brother it will be blankets lol

Sounds about right, maybe a couple more muslins. My baby was full of mucus and was sick so I used 3 in one afternoon. I can recommend the Huggies cotton soft sheets which are great for top n tail and bum changes if the wipes are too harsh. Having said that, the johnsons extra sensitive wipes are great and ok for newborns

I was just going to put normal johnsons in, thanks for reminded me they need to be sensitive  I will pop some more muslins in as well.

I have to buy them  I have dribble bibs but I think I will need to just get some cotton ones from asda or something x

Any scratch mits?
Nail clipping set?
Bum cream?
Folding change mat?

You just change them in the cot, no need to take the changing mat :haha:

I wouldn't clip a newborns nails I caught Oliver and made his bleed  I will nibble them off if needed :)

2 of the sleep suits have scratch mits, so I will add some more into there because I didn't think of that

And I didn't think of bum cream, I would only be in hospital 24 hours so I don't think I would need it?

i asked my mum if i needed to take clippers and she said...ach i used to just bite them off haha!

good list though, mind if i steal?

Haha the hospital I would go to if it werent for Hmebirth says to not change them in the cot so you don't soil the sheets!! Change mat or one of those bed pads is to be used. Strict!!

No idea when a baby needs bum cream, or even if they really do - but that tiny sudocream pot? <3 I just had to put it in :haha:

Erm.....nappy sacks!? (not for nappies maybe but dirty clothes?)

You know I am going to put the changing mat out of my boots bag in now, its a snobby hospital and they will most prob be the same :haha:

I love the sudocream pots. I got 2 bounty packs for some reason so I have 2 :haha: I will chuck them in as well.

Nappy sacks is on my list of things to buy.

I need to find out about formula and stuff, I said to OH I was going to get a cow and gate starter box and he told me its for one day and to take the formula with me... trust me I WILL win :haha: I have the bank cards mwahaha

No. I am not planning on BF and our hospital doesn't supply milk to FF mums (from what I can work out). If you can't BF they will help you with BF rather than give you milk etc.

If you really need it then they normal have some formula as they use it in special baby care.

I've got the Cow and Gate Stater Box as a just in case. I fully expect to bin this at some point as Breastfeeding IS going to work ( PMA! ) but I wanted something in as a very last resort being alone I wont have anyone to pop out and get some.

I think either SMA or Aptamil actually do a 6 or 8 box? Instead of this 12 box - they are also a bit cheaper than this one. Or are you a Cow & Gate girl? :haha:

Here......6 packs.
