Its driving me mad!!

Sid has a pair of 6-9 months jeans that fit him (he's 10 months) but some new ones i bought which are 12-18 months are really tight round his stomach and would make him sick if he wore them! :nope:

Its so frustrating!!

Hi hun. I know how frustrating it is. Omar is already on 12 or 18 mnth outfits. Jeans & pants always 18 mnths. He's big & tall. I always take him for fitting. It depends on ur LO's body shape. Omar is abit chubby, & some shops like zara & M&P outfits cuts r soo slim. I always try pants on, but for tops, I just place them on him to see if they fit. If I buy sth when he's not with me, I try them on when I'm back home before washing or removing labels. I used to buy in advance (some 3-6, 6-9 stuff I bought since I was pregnant) & they were wasted, as he was already in 3-6 in winter & they were all suitable for summer.

Yeah, I found that too. I was saving a lovely pair of gap 12-18 month jeans that we had been given as a gift, but when Ruby was 10 months and I tried them on, they were absolutely skintight and no way could she wear them! Same with a matching jacket. I did get a reasonable amount for them on ebay however...

I can relate. Bryson is really slender and at almost 11 months old can still fit in size 6-9 months pants and shorts, but has to have 12 month and 18 months tops. He is very broad in the shoulders like his daddy. So finding him outfits is a pain. When we go to the store and buy him an outfit I have actually had to take the shirt off and replace it with a bigger size.

Omar is also broad. Did u have problems with baby gros sleeves when he was tiny? I always have sleeves issues :haha:

I have the same problem, I cannot buy an all together outfit as such because she is all different sizes! She is almost 4.5 months old but 3-6 tops barely fit her, they are like skin tight (from all different shops! next ect) so we have to ge 6-9 months for her tops, usually 4-6 month trousers fit, but got some jogging bottoms from tesco for around the house that are 4-6 months and they are again wayyy too tight, jackets are usually 3-6 months and they are okay.. I tell people not to bother to buy anything because god knows if they will fit, its a waste of money! xx

Its really annoying isnt it!!!

Although E has been in 6-9 months babygrows since he was 4 months old for his length Ive had to buy him 9-12 months jeans/trousers and roll the legs up a bit cos the waistband on the 6-9 months are too tight :(

I just don't understand how 2 shops can have such different sizing! Especially when they are elasticated as well!

I will definitely be trying them on from now on! Didn't even think of that! :dohh:
