Baby cough

Lo has had a really bad chesty type of cough all day, after he had his tea he was coughing that much that he brought the whole lot up, and hes just done it again after his bottle before bed, and is now wide awake! Is there anything i cam give him, or anything i should be doing, i feel so sorry for him xx

I have an apple flavour cough syrup by benylin... works for my LO as she sometimes gets chesty after a cold
