I want to get a holiday booked for next year so I have somthing to look forward to during the Winter months. Ethan will be about 1 1/2 by the time we would be going. Can anyone recommend anywhere abroad that would be good to take a baby too? Im thinking maybe Turkey or Cyprus? :flower:

I like the balearic islands, but after september the weather is unpredictable so depends when your going. But flight times are nice and short too which is a bonus!

I think anywhere can be if you are the right type of person (eg very friendly, easy going and willing to take baby outside if crying kinda thing)
We're off to Jamaica in a week with a 7 month old baby! lol

We went to Dalaman Hilton in Turkey when Elle was 7 weeks and to Gran Melia in Tenerife when she was 4 months and both were very baby/family friendly :)

I didn't bring a baby (didn't have one at the time!) but I found Egypt to be a very family friendly place although I would probably fly directly into one of the resort areas (ie Dahab) rather than anywhere I had to use a vehicle/carseat because the roads are frightening and dangerous.

Dahab is a really great place for families, very very affordable and fun.

Our 1st holiday with travis is prob gonna b france, as the in-laws have a house there, which makes it a v cheap hol! lol! the french are v good with children, from what ive seen!

We went to Tenerife to an all-inclusive resort when DD was 3 months old. It worked out fairly well. I'd highly recommend trying to find a place with a buffet style breakfast/lunch/dinner as one of you can watch the baby or walk with them, if they are antsy, while at more formal places, guests will get annoyed. However, DH said that it was still not as relaxing, as we didn't really get any couple time.

Look for places with a toddler pool area and a mini club - some mini clubs take kids as young as 18months old for a little while.

This summer we rented a cottage together with my parents-in law close to the beach. The self-catering was nice, we didn't have to worry about people in neighboring rooms, etc. The grandparents were happy watching DD while we went out with hubby to restaurant, movies, stuff like that. So, I think going with family / friends is definitely a good option.

As for country, I'm trying to stick to places where I'd feel comfortable to take LO to the doctor/hospital (God forbid) and I'm pretty sure that I could make myself understood.

Disneyland! .. ive not been but i'd love to take LO when she's around that age :) if only i had the money! xx

Dubai :) I love it here. But it's only good frm November until early May. Summer is too hot.

My grandparents have a villa in Portugal, and they are lovely with children :) July - September are usually BOILING, but I think it's pleasant in the cooler months (ie when our spring/autumn is) :)

Thank you everyone! I've just put Ethan down for a nap so going to have a browse online now :flower:
