Hey. I'm probably just being paranoid but for the last few days my little girl has been really active pretty much all of the time, and today she seems to have gone really quiet. She could just be sleeping? Should I be worried?xx

Drink something cold and sugary and lay on your side, jiggle your belly, play loud music to bump and see if she wakes up.. if not ring your mw.. babies can have sleepy days but its good to call just in case

I've had these worries twice now - both since turning 30weeks but she always picks back up after a day or 2! They start to sleep alot more now and also I find my LO is rather active in the night! - I don't wake up cause of it but if I wake up for the toilet I can feel her as I fall back to sleep lol. She's also quiet on days where she obviously having growth spurts the longest she went with little movement was 3days! If you're really worried call labor and delivery and someone will be able to reassure you or get you in and trace the heart/activity for a little bit.

:flower:

Quiet days are normal as long as you are still getting at least 10 movements a day. I worry about this too but there are lots of reasons for it, such as going through a growth spurt, in a different position so you can't feel all the kicks, your level of activity, what you have eaten...or probably just tired! I always then try all the things to make baby move, like rubbing my tummy in big circles or eating something sugary/drinking something cold, playing loud music, that kinda thing.
If you are really worried though then call the midwives at the hospital :) x

Thanks, I'm going to go lay on my side for a while and see what happens. I'm just really paranoid still, these 11 1/2 weeks can't go quick enough!!xx

I have found that salty snacks, such as a handful of peanuts, wakes baby up (sugary stuff doesn't)....

best wishes

I've had a bowl of frosties and she is kicking again, not mega amounts but enough for me to feel and for my OH to feel when he puts his hand on my belly. That's good right? Lol xxx

I just came back from triage for this reason. I've been feeling her move but not nearly as much as the previous days. Was put on a fetal movement monitor for half an hour, was told the results were textbook. :) However, they said to always, always go back if I feel something ain't right- better be safe than sorry.

The lie-on-your-side test is the best. Have a cold drink or something sweet, lie on your side and try to count at least 10 movements in two hours. The doctor said that should reassure me.

Havinv a doppler is so reassuring. best thing i ever bought x

i have those quiet days as well..it sounds like a lot of ladies do. if your really worried i would call ur dr. my baby usually moves when i take a bath or listen to music. or he starts kicking like crazy for his dad!

She is going mad in here again now :D and I have got a doppler, I just can't seem to locate it...hmmmmmm xxx

If she's moving now, then she has a heartbeat, I wouldn't worry about not being able to locate it on the doppler!!!

My LO had a quiet few days at around the same gestation as you are now. I'm pretty sure it was just a growth spurt 'cos I feel MASSIVE now!! lol!!

Glad she's moving around again for you, it is a little worrying I know :)

Thanks hun. She is back to thinking mummy's bladder is a squeeze toy!! Hehe xx
