Ok, so now I am officially crapping myself. went for a scan on Thursday to check location of the placenta which was low and is now out of the way however, during the follow up chat with the doctor, she is concerned that baby's head is around 3.5 weeks ahead of what it should be:cry:

I'll be 33 weeks on Monday and the head is measuring at 36. Everything else was 'normal' but now I'm terrified that there's something wrong. We've got to go back in just over a week for another scan now and I haven't slept a wink since.

Has this happened to anyone else?? I'm guessing that if there was something obviously wrong with the brain they would spot it on the ultrasound but I'm just worried sick now.:nope:

My babys tummy is measuing a few weeks ahead but there not concerned because its just over normal. Babys different body parts dont allways grow at the same rate so you might find at your next scan that everyting is fine.

awww hun i know this can be worrying buy my OH's daughter he has from a previous reltionship had a head like that and shes healthy and beautiful 4 year old now so dont think about the worst there more than likely nothing wrong :)

Dont worry hun, Millies head at 34wk i think it was, was measuring 4 weeks ahead, at my scan last friday its now just a week ahead. xx

It's the opposite for me - my baby's head is measuring too small. I'd try not to worry too much, although it's easier said than done - I've been told that genetics is the likely cause in my case so I'm going with that.

At my 20 weeks scan my LO head was a bit on the bigger side but sonographer did not seem to worried. I was just thinking how I am going to get that head out of me!!!!
