Ok...so I had chosen a name for little one coming and it was Ellie. Recently, I've had lots of doubts. I've found a name I really like...it's Jasmina. Now I want to change it...but kind of feel guilty. Would you guys change it so close to the end? What do you think of the name?

I say hold on to the idea of both and wait until that baby is in your arms to finalize the name. I think in the moment you will know. We are on the fence about our name now too. My SO was adamant about it and he is wavering now, but so far we don't have any other ideas. I figure we will know what to do once we meet our son.

I think that's a good idea. Once I see her, I'll be able to know for sure. :)

I agree with not making any definite decisions as I always doubt my name choice the closer it gets to actually having baby. It's like I've said it to myself too many times for me to like it anymore

I'm in a similar position. Just not sure if I like the second name as much as the first so I'm waiting for him to arrive to see how I feel.

Yeah, wait until you actually meet baby to make the decision! Our DD was going to be Evelyn all the way through my pregnancy. When she arrived we decided to call her Robyn instead!

1. I made that exact change weeks before my second daughter was born, we had a name from the get go and I hated it by the end. So glad I did change it now :)
2. I'm doing it again lol. Hubby picked out a name I didn't love but thought I could get use to, yea no. We're now undecided and making lists again. It happens. For me, I want it figured out now I don't want to be at the hospital fussing over what the name should be. I want to enjoy the new baby, not go back and forth over names. So I have to lock it down asap haha.

It happens hun, no shame in it. Better to have changed it now then hated it for the rest of baby's life.

I changed my babys name too!! lol.

I had stuck with one for sure, now its something different.

I changed my son's name the day he was born. Honestly, I don't recall anyone caring really - lol. My mom hated my other name choice and talked me out of it while I was drugged up after my C-section! :haha: Once I saw him, I KNEW what his name should be. All of the searching and going back and forth went out the window. There was no doubt after he was born and I saw him.

Maybe you should give your friends and family a little heads up though, that you may be considering a different name.

Jasmina is cool - it's different. And "Jazz" or "Jazzy" is a cool shortened version. I love Ellie though - it's a name I'm considering as well.
