Baby Names ???

Im having a very hard time shortlisting baby names, everything I like OH hates and vice versa lol !!

I had my heart set on Jaxon for a boy and Indie for a girl but friend had baby boy few weeks ago and used Jaxon so its no longer a contender !! OH hates Indie and my new fav boy name Noah !!

Anyone having the same problems ?? Anyone decided on baby's Name?? xx

what wrong with indie i think really cute.ive picked erin alyssa for a girl.though told me at 20 wk scan they think it a girl.and no keeping calling her she.incase it a boy we have joseph lucas which my oh picked.

Indie is my fave but other half is having none of it ha ha !! I have a VERY large family so refuse to use a name thats already in the family too which makes it even harder lol !!

I love your both names chosen .. Hopefully will be a bit easier when we know sex lol xxx

yeah defo even other half been calling baby she.lol or it get pippy.which when found i was pregnant it as size of apple pip and pippy or pip has just stuck

Aww thats soo cute !!! Ive just been calling bump Buba but im getting more aggitated each day that I dont have ANY names at all boy or girl that we can use lol !!

By this stage I would loved to have had at least 2 or 3 of each sex to have as possibilites .. And im so sick of looking through baby name books and apps on my phone !!!

And the more people hate my names the more I like them lol .. I mean everyone that I have told about the names I like including the MIL have screwed their faces up !! grr xxx

I had this problem with my boyfriend. He agreed on Hayden rose for a girl(and its a girl) but he would not agree on any of my boy names. I liked grayson cole, gage michael, connor,riley,logan,cole,and landon. Said no to all so i know your pain

Ahh its so frustrating !! My other half likes Dawson for a boy and I used to like this, its what we had picked if my little girl had of been a boy .. but that was 3 years ago now, i just feel its dated and have gone off it a lot since then ..

And I really cant see past the names Noah & Indie

And I honestly think if he had of aggreed these names at the beginning chances are I would possibly have went off them slightly by now and kept looking for other ones .. Altho I think its coz his mum dont like them that he is sooo against them so its making me more detirmined to have my own way lol !!!

We've picked ours - although we had them picked before we were married. Alexander George for a boy - I like traditional names and Evie Grace for a girl - that one is not 100% though. I wanted Isabelle or Ruby but he hates both of those

i picked Erin Alyssa and my oh picked Joseph Lucas we both like the names through i like Rio for a boy or Ronan for a boy bt my oh hate Ronan .just because it name of my fave singer Ronan Keating lol.And Rio i love because name it name of one of my fave bands songs Rio.though my half quite like Rio

Evie Grace is beautiful and I really like Alexander George too ..

Ruby is one of my fav girls names but other halfs best friend has a little girl called Ruby ..

Do u think im being too fussy about others who have same name as I like ?? xx

We had trouble agreeing on a little boys middle name so were just going to use both probably. Good luck with the name agreeing

I know exactly what you mean-- I refuse to use a name that is already in the family or one of our close friends-- And we already named ds after my FIL. So that ship has sailed. This one is going to be a complete original.

Here's what I did, and maybe it will work for you: I picked three names that I wanted. (For a boy. The girl name is picked. I wouldn't budge.) I had The Name Conversation. I casually brought up the three names that I liked and snuck them in among many other suggestions, as though I was just thinking of them at that moment and didn't like them any more than the rest.
He latched onto one.
Heh heh heh.
I have hidden from him that this is The Name I have wanted from the beginning. And he agreed to it.
Maybe that will work for you?
Also, I have resolved not to tell anyone our choices (BnB ladies excepted, of course). I told one person my favorite name (not saying it was my favorite) and she said, "Oh, no, don't name him that, I knew a person with that name and he was the most awful man blah blah blah!"
We don't need any more of that. It's my kid, not yours.

OMG... Iv now realised me and the OH and now sad... Wed already chosen our Babys name before I was even pregnant.

Layton Gordon for a boy (Gordon after my dad)
Trinaty Athena for a girl

I started off calling my bump button, but that lasted all of a few hours, by the next day my dad had called him/her "Little Wot" after the kids program the Wot Wots that we used to watch togeather, and I dont mean when I was a kid lol, I mean when ever im over at my dads

I wanted Robyn and Noah but OH said NO WAY to both.
He wanted Pheonix and Axl and I said NO WAY to both lol.

It took a while but now that we have our names finally we are keeping them secret because we don't want anyone to spoil it and say they don't like them. It might take a while but you have time and I'm sure the perfect name will come =]

With DD we had decided on Rose. Then she was born and she didn't look like a Rose to me. So we spent 3 days going through so many names until we finally settled on Bethan. We've starting talking about names again and have 2 girls and 2 boys we quite like atm but we aren't going to get too settled on any until he/she is here and we can meet them

My friends just had a little boy called jaxxon ... How weird.

We had chosen names before I was pregnant and happy to stick with the it. I'd chosen my sons name and stuck with it however my daughter was going to be megan til I reached maternity ward and 3 other tiny megs were already there. Having spent my school life with a very common name that wasn't going to happen.

I dont think your worrying too much most people dont want a name that is already in the family or close friends,its difficult I definately think men are less 'open' to a variation on names I hope you manage to agree on some names soon it is frustrating
It has happened by chance that I picked our first borns name then DH picked second,me third so now he thinks it's his turn that depends on what he has in mind!
We havent let on to anyone that we know were having a girl as our children want to have a surprise,but our 5yr old has named our bump bloom its soooo cute
