Baby shower at 38 weeks? Am I mad?

Just spoke to my sister and she wants to throw me a baby shower yay! Well more of a get together than anything as we are sorted for baby things for the most part.

Thing is, she wants to do it the Saturday after I finish work when I'll be 38 weeks. Am I pushing it having it that late? It's my first bubs so doubtful ill go early, although she is breech at the minute.

So, anyone had a late shower? Am I mad for thinking ill be ok at 38 weeks?

If it's any help LO was born at 38 weeks and he was my first!

Mine is next week at 36 weeks. If you're working up until 38 I guess it will be a nice way to finish and look forward to baby's arrival!
A few weeks ago I thought I might go into labour early due to being really ill and in hospital etc and the baby shower did cross my mind, but I just thought 'oh well if baby is here it will be a chance for everyone to meet baby instead!!' xx

We just threw a shower for one of my friends at 38+2, her baby came at 40weeks exactly. It is cutting it close but it's one of those things you can;t really predict. If that's the earliest time that's convenient, I'd say go for it.
