Baby Shower Plans

So I was just reading baby shower stuff on the bump. A lot of women seem to be having more than 1 baby shower.
I'm also having 3 for sure possibly 4. Only because my family is split in half and so is his.
Any body else having the same thing happen? Or have you already had a couple baby showers? If so how was it?

I thought the norm was to have only 1 and that's here in the US. I am not even sure if I am having one, let alone more than that. Some women have more than one due to their workplace throwing one and then their family. It really depends on your situation. xx

I never had one with either of my two previous pregnancies but I am having 2 with this one. Only because I am having one here near home and one 200+ miles away where I grew up. Cant wait!

Three people have asked to throw us a shower - one from each side of the family and one at work. I really feel honored but hope it doesn't seem like too much! Luckily everyone will only be invited to one.

I think nowadays its common to have several if you have large groups of friends who come from different areas (family, work, friends, etc).

I'm definitely having more than one. My husband and I live in the United States and Canada (we split our time between the two). Our friends here in the States want to hold one for us, then our family in Canada wants to hold one for us. Also, my old work friends in Canada also want to hold one for me. I may be having 3! Of course, I'm not asking for them or planning them myself, but I certainly won't say no!

His father's side of the family wants to have one as soon as we find out the sex, my family will wait till around 30ish weeks, his mom's side hasn't decided when, and our friends are waiting till after our families have thrown theirs. I feel blessed, but holly crap, I better start working on my registry. thinking of asking for lots of clothes, diapers, wipes, gift cards, etc

I know I'm having 2 at least. My best friend wants to throw a smaller one with just us Girls and my Sister and Mom are sneaking around planning a big family one. There won't be an overlap as my mom hates most of my friends and wouldn't bother to invite them.

im having 2 cause my husbands side of the family doesnt want to drive an hour for the one my mom and I are throwing.

My mother is throwing me one at about 25 weeks and then my mother in law wants to hold one just after thanksgiving and i will probably have a diaper shower at work. Gotta love it!

lol I was JUST thinking of making a post about a baby shower!

I am having 1 and it'll be co-ed, but as I was writing down my list of people to invite yesterday...OMG! I am worried to tell my OH's mom (we aren't married, but I guess she's kinda my MIL lol) how many people I have down just off the top of my head since the shower will be at her house. Just family alone the count is at about 50, then friends add about 20-25. Granted I know a few won't be coming, but that makes for a big shower! lol
