Have any of you ladies had one? I had a surprise one this evening!

It was the cutest thing...I was there having my nap on the sofa, when my best friend walked in with 2 other friends, whisked me upstairs and started getting me ready (I didn't know what for!) :happydance:

I then came downstairs to find 24 of my old school friends (most of whom I hadn't seen in years!) in my lounge with all sorts of presents for my little girl :) I was so overwhelmed I nearly burst into tears!

My little girl is the luckiest baby! She now has so many beautiful presents and I was so happy to see all my friends again, I have the most amazing best friend in the world!!

Hehe, just thought I'd share that with you all....I'm a happy girlie now :)

    Aww, that's so lovely!

I'm not having one myself. All of my side of the family is in Australia, most of my husband's side of the family are boys, and I have far more male friends than I do female friends.

im invovled in throwing one for a friend whos due the end of Jan but i dont have anyone who would throw one for me on this side of the world so i doubt i'll have one also less common in the uk apparently and since this is a second baby its even more unlikely. my younger sister is picking my brain for my ideas for my older sisters one though but as its in NZ i doubt i'll get there esp as i'll be having a baby about that time

That sounds wonderful! What great friends.

I had one in November and it made me feel so special - I had a smile on my face all week, and people were so generous we haven't had to buy and clothes or toiletries ourselves :D

I am the same but my husband said if I felt left out, he would throw one for me. But we have so few ppl to attend I figure it isnt worth it and it would make me miss my big generous family more :(
