I've bought a baby sling and I thought I was using it right, but now I'm wondering. My lo is 6 weeks old, and I've read about the dangers of carrying baby in a c shape with chin resting on the chest. However, she's quite chunky and her chin rests on a neck roll which rests on her chest...is this still dangerous? I'm too nervous to use it on her now! I just can't seem to find a position where her chin and chest have a space between them. I don't see how without her sitting completely upright...what do I do?

Hey, didn't want to read and run. I'd head over to the Natural Parenting forum, there's lots of baby-wearin' mamas over there (who've been doing it for longer than me - just 3 weeks) and who will be able to answer your question I'm sure!
:hugs:

Here's the TICKS rules for safe babywearing. https://www.babyslingsafe.com/ I think as long as she can move her head easily without her chin being forced down onto her chest then it should be fine. Are you using a cradle position (horizontal)? It's a lot harder to get correct positioning with a cradle hold, so perhaps you might feel more comfortable learning a vertical carry.
