I think I'm about to prove there is such a thing as a stupid question. I have just rented a Kari Me baby wrap for £5 for 3 months from my local Sure Start Children's Centre & my 4 month old seems to be much happier being put into that than her push chair BUT (here comes the stupid part) how do I carry her changing bag as well? Please feel free to laugh at me, I'm blaming baby brain!

I use a backpack instead of a shoulder changing bag if we're going anywhere that I'll need to carry a lot. Otherwise I get a sore shoulder and it's awkward. If I'm just going somewhere quick like to the shop, I take a light shoulder bag for things like purse, keys etc.

Thank you. I think I have an alternative bag I could use. It's getting easier, she used to be sick a lot so I'd have to have changes of clothes for both of us but that seems to be easing so maybe this is the perfect opportunity to cut down on the amount I carry!

I'm currently working my way through this dilemma! I had a small rucksack that I used as it was comfy with a sling and also fitted with room to spare in my 3 wheeler buggy under seat pocket.... However now that I've started to wear little one on my back in the ergo the rucksack no longer works, so I've been looking at cross shoulder small messanger type bags, with a wide strap. I have the perfect bag at home, but not used it for a couple of years, and can I find it?!!!

I dont think this is a stupid question at all :winkwink:

I have a big bulky pink lining changing bag but Im planning on treating myself to a girly jansport/roxy backpack as I find it uncomfy having a big bag on my shoulder as well as a baby tied to my front lol xxx

That's the problem with babywearing it's true! I never really found a good solution to this myself, but if I was going out for a long time, I would take a rucksack with all her stuff in. I managed ok with a shoulder bag for a while, but I ended up almost never using my changing bag because it was a fag to carry when she was in the sling.

It doesn't look great but if I was wearing LO on my back, I'd just put the rucksack on my front. There are loads of tourists (usually seem to be French or Italian) who wear their bags on their front around here, probably cos they think they're going to get robbed in London. I do think that looks silly but if you have a baby on your back, there's a better reason for having a bag on your front.

I have an old clubbing bag that looks basically like a utility belt! I use that quite a bit. Have you seen Onbags? :)
