Hi ladies

My daughter is 7 months and because I had a lot of free samples at the start I gave her a lot of shop bought baby food. Now I am trying to give her home made purees and she is not interested at all and just cries when I try and give them to her. Does anyone have any advice at all? I want to make sure she is getting fresh, homemade food as well.

Also I have been giving her the odd finger food but when can I start giving her more lumps, and what sort of lumpy food should I start with?

Thanks x

hi im in the same boat....my twins wont eat my homecooked stuff either! they are just turned 9 mths and are on the lumpier stage 2 jars/pouches. when i cook for them, even if i blend it really smooth they hate it!!! think our food is alot more flavour...
think its just persevering with it thats all you can do...keep trying ur little 1 with ur stuff. ( i know its hard & disappointing when u have cooked then they dont want it hey!) mine have baby snacks & toast too...hoping they will start to like my food soon as all these jars & pouches & yogurts is costing me a fortune lol!! x

mines the same - i spent hours in the kitchen the other day and stocked the freezer but she won't touch any of it.

but, there's another post on here about herbs, and i didn't put herbs in my food and its always the really strong tasting jars she wolfs down.

going to try mixing in some strong flavours tomorrow!

With lottie, mummykins now cooks up quite plain veggies like potato and carrot, or if there are particular flavours that your lo likes try to replicate them. Lottie loved cheesy spinach and potato bake, so mummykins made it fresh for her and she did eat it.

You do need to persevere, they do get the hang of it.

Try mixing your purée with a pouch.I find mixing foods helps. And slowly change your homemade to pouch ratio until he is eating all homemade.

That may work :flower:

That's what I was going to suggest. :)
