in her pram when we go out for the day!!

she will lightly nap but easily wakes up. when we are at home she always has an afternoon nap upstairs and it does her the world of good but if we go out for the day she gets far overtired and can be a nightmare that night!!!

anyone else have this problem or any suggestions?

Have you tried blocking out stimulation, i.e. putting a blanket over her pram?? Thats what we ended up doing at the zoo today, Harry fell asleep ten mins later :flower:

no i havent, i may do that next time. thank you!!xx

My LO is the same. He is the same as your LO and naps upstairs. I think he can't sleep properly because of the noise, as he is used to the quietness of upstairs. I put a blanket over the Pushchair to block out the stimulation, but this doesn't help him to sleep any longer. but I think the noise Is the main reason.

yeah i think thats the same problem. she is far too nosy and thinks she is missing out on something lol!

My LO is the same and always has been. He won't sleep in the pram and fights sleep like mad in the car although if he is tired enough and the car is moving he may drop off until the engine is switched off and then he wakes instantly.

I have tried a snooze shade, a blanket, parent facing, forward facing, rocking pram, not rocking...nothing works, he just keeps looking around or pulling/kicking the blanket/shade off. I have tried two different prams - a stokke xplory and a mcclaren xt. He sleeps in neither. He is the same if I hold him and try to rock him to sleep in my arms when we are out. Just keeps looking round and trying to wriggle out of my arms. I just had to either accept he would be a nightmare when outm or stay in and get him to take regular naps in his cot. I used to do the latter mostly as I found it stressful being out on my own with him screaming the place down! He is at full time nursery now.
