Is it possible for a 'real' smile at 3 and a half weeks, Jaydens been smiling a couple of times today, with his eyes wide open, like he doesn't have wind, normally when he smiles his eyes roll lol.. can babies smile at just over 3 weeks?

Tyler was smiling at 3wks - I don't care what anyone says lol x

Babies can actually smile from just a few days old if you engage with them. They will copy our expressions if we smile at them and practice using those muscles so yes I am sure your LOs smiled at you. It makes it all worthwhile doesn't it!

I thought Max smiled at me when he was 3 1/2 weeks, but convinced myself it was wind. When he was 4 weeks i decided he was smiling and does it kind of on demand and when you pick him up

aww, maybe its because im always pulling daft faces at him lol! x

it's definitely possible because they say the first smile (on average) occurs within 4-6 weeks and its only 4 days off so he probably did smile hun x

Absolutely, Aaron didn't smile until over a month but Tabitha was smiling at 2 weeks. Real smiles are so different to windy smiles. Definitely sounds like Jayden is smiling at you! :)

Yayy! i told my mum, she didn't seem convinced, oh well im convinced it was a real smile :)

Yup!

Got mine yesterday and it made me cry ha ha

Like you say, you can tell the difference...whole face lights up and you know they havent got wind!

My HV and MW both said it happens.
