Ok so as i'm not 30 weeks im trying to make a list so i can start packing bags and getting organised incase baby comes early.

However i have NO clue what happens in hospital and what i will/won't need. Providing everything goes to plan at my hospital your usually out 6 hours after birth (unless of course it's night time then you have to wait till morning) So i know the basics like a few vests and gros inc spares incase of nappy leakage or sickness and a going home outfit with a hat, mittens, socks/booties if nessecery, nappies, wipes, blah blah blah.

What about the extras? Will baby be bathed? I'v herd some midwives tend to not bath baby in hospital so will i need to take a towel or will this be provided. I'm bottle feeding so do i bring everything with me or to they provide? Will i need my muslin squares and if so how many? Right after birth do they provide a blanket and clothes or do i put him in his own straight away? Just dont know how much to pack i dont want to take unnessecery items neither do i want to be unprepeared. The hospital isnt too far so if he does stay in longer OH can nip home and bring in any extras.

If you have your baby before 37 weeks you will likely stay a little longer. Sounds like you are not in the US so I can't advise you on what to pack as it is very different here. Good luck though!
What I packed for baby: 2 outfits, 6 diapers, wipes, pacifier, receiving blanket, thicker blanket, baby book (to put his foot prints in). Think that's it.

I have no idea, I guess it also depends what country you are in. I think they provide baby clothes in UK. Remember that you never know what happens and if you end up having a C section you'll be in hospital longer. I'm also wondering these things...

Hi, they should provide blankets etc so you will only need one for taking baby home. they will also put baby in clothes you provide so just a babygro, sleepsuit and a hat and scratch mittens for after the birth will be fine. you may need coat of snowsuit to travel home in.
bottles vary, some provide and others dont. best to ask midwife weather your hospital does or not.

theres a good thread at top of page with good suggestions as to what to pack in terms of stuff for labour, after delivery, baby and going home.

It varies really depends in what hospital you are giving birth in, I haven't heard anything about hospitals providing clothes and even if they did I wouldn't allow them to put them on my baby anyway,

I have packed

3 vests, babygrows and hats
A blanket for coming home
1 cardigan
1 coat/jacket
2 x dummies
Cotton wool
8 x nappies
Top to toe wash
Disposable changing mat

I think that's about it
