My son is 8 months old but looking at him in his Oyster, I can't see it lasting as long as the manufacturers say it should. His head is nearly at the top!

Just wondering, those of you who have had or still have an Oyster, how long did it do you for? When he gets older I can still see him fitting in the seat but not looking very comfortable IYSWIM??

Thank you!!

xxx

That was his first pram, in the lay down flat bit he was in it only until 6-7 months then went in the seat. If we still had it he'd be fine in the seat part now. Can your lo sit up ? If not I can see what youd mean about it not being very good design, we had to pad it out until he could sit up properly. If you've got the new bright coloured version though do you just mean the Older seat unit looks smaller? I've seen it an reckon it would fit my nearly 20 month old lad in fine so wouldnt worry, hope that helps ps great pram! You'll definitely end up wanting to move onto something else though as the weight of these gorgeous prams gets tiring xxx

Ethan is still in our Oyster and he's 21 months and just under the 50th percentile for height. He's good - his head is near the top but he's comfy and still loads of room for his legs. We flatten the hood bits up if the hood is folded in which gives you about another 2 inches!

If this makes sense - at 12m they look like they're going to outgrow it but then it seems their legs grow more than their body so the head only creeps up but the legs fit the seat better and better!

Agree with ^^^ about the weight but it's still more than managable - I hate strollers though so I'd rather push my lush oyster than faff with a stroller!

Yeah saying that I agree strollers are yukky I tried them then ended up back with a almost as heavy frame in february couldn't resist there's something Nice about giving your child a really padded comfy seat and not being sat virtually on the floor lol xx
