back pain after epidural

hi

LO in now 5 weeks old, but i'm still getting back-ache nearly every day, with the pain focused at the site of my epidural.

is it normal to still be suffering? i don't have any visible bruising anymore, but i did end up with 4 entry points (it took him an hour to do.... great fun when having contractions every 3 mins, and a midwife sticking the gas and air in my mouth for me! LOL)

at the moment i'm struggling to lift my 3 year old cos it's so painful

I get a pain where my epidural was when i bend over for while like when I'm bathing Chloe. Also if I lay flat on my back it hurts then. I had to have it done twice as first time some rubbish trainee did it!!! Doesnt ache when i lift though.

Maybe just check with your hv x

yeah, i might have a word when she comes next week. it tends to be worse if i'm on my feet loads so i guess it's an excuse to cut down the housework lol

ouch 4 times? I can imagine that your back still hurts! My back hurt for 2 weeks and I just got poked once!

yeah, i'm awkward! lol it takes ages to get blood out of me, it took 3 tries to get a drip in, and 4 for the epidural! it was a fun hour, i can tell you! lol
