So I go to bed and fall asleep instantly, but within hours my back is KILLING ME. I roll from one side to the other, prop a pillow behind my back to "lean" on...and it helps for a little while, and then the pain starts again.

Anyone have this, or know what I can do? This has been going on for the past 5-6 days. :( And ironically, as soon as I sit/stand up, the pain goes away (but I'm so tired I want to lay down lol. Ugh!!!).

I sleep with a body pillow on both sides of me so I can "hug" it and keep it between my legs. But I'm guessing that's not helping?

Help? :nope:

I have this precise same problem, except that sitting all day at a desk also does this to me. Does yours come on at around 4am'ish? I've been dealing with it for several weeks now and found that once it gets that bad I have to literally prop myself in a seated position to go back to sleep.

Am also seeing a physiotherapist who is a big help.....whereabouts on your back does it hurt? Mines upper middle back right next to my spine.

Yeah, its like early morning time 3-4am and will last until I finally get up. And its pretty much in the middle of my back, right along the spine. It HURTS!!

When I sit, my back is fine, but my tailbone after a few hours is in excruciating pain, and I have to try and sit on the side of my butt/hip. Ugh. I'm barely over 6 months...I didn't think this happened until much later. :(

Me too - not thinking it would start so soon. My physio said it was down to the effects of relaxin and also the pull of the bump. This might help you like it helped me! -

First off the cat/cow posture in yoga.

Second, she found there were about 3 bones in the spine which were the culprit - she found them by just moving up the spine at either side and pressing . Then when she found them she'd put her thumb right next to that column , move slightly towards and downwards and press firmly. Oh my lord! The relief! She said it relieves the pressure - I get my DF to do it sonetimes in the night. I'm not sure how well my description is coming across but poss if your oh is happy to work on your back a bit when you wake up youll be able to relieve the pain for a few more hours.

Sorry 'towards' = outwards. So find the painful column/disc in the spine, place thumb right next to it, then move down slightly and out slightly and press firmly. Do the sane to the other side of the same disc. And the same to any other disc which is particularly painful.
