Back pain...shocks?

What is this?

I am sitting here and I keep getting what feel like electric shocks in my lower back every few minutes. Uterus doesn't seem to be contracting. It's really uncomfortable.

I'm going to start timing them just in case.

I have this too, i mentioned this to doc because its exactly as you describe shocks so I was a bit conerned and he said its likely baby lying on a nerve , there are tons of nerves in your back!!

I've been having these weird back 'waves'...not painful but bloody strange...is that the same thing?xx

Divine Beauty-that's probably what it is for me as well. I've been timing it but there's no pattern in time or duration. I get nerve pain in my pubic area, but that is more severe than what I'm feeling in my back.

Sugarwag--to me it feels like shocks or tingles.

Well, yesterday I stood up and my back went out! It's so painful! I think the shocks were the start of this. Spending the day laying on a hot rice pack....
