Besides reading the contract (and they might be in violation by not giving you a copy) I would suggest reading the Landlord Tenant Law for your state. It's a good idea for anyone who's renting.

They can't just auto renew without your permission. You need to sign another tennancy, because the original one you signed is expiring! Until you sign the new tennancy they have bugger all on you!
Tell the doctor, and tell them they can't just make you live there cause you're pregnant and it could harm your baby. FIGHT!!!!

We've got sockets falling off our walls, mice in our ceilings, our pipes leak, sink is falling down, and I had to scoop up drugs needles in the garden when I moved in a few months back.
