Got my blood test results today.
I have low progesterone levels

Ive never felt so upset and depressed in my life
:cry::cry::cry:

Hi Pusskins, I don't know what this means in terms of making things difficult for a pregnancy, but I wanted to send you many :hug::hug::hug:

It means that i haven't been ovulating and you can miscarry easy :(

Sorry Pusskins . . . :hugs:

The only good thing is that now you know what is going on, instead of blindly TTC in the dark. Hopefully you can find some good treatment options and things will begin to look up.

We are here is you need

sorry honey but now you know whats wrong we can begin to deal with it and get you supplemented up to the max so your levels go to a good level and you get your bfp! Progesterone should be an easy thing to get raised. But I so understand how down you must be feeling. How long you been ttc?

I'm really sorry about your situation. Did you ask your doctor about any methods (however artificial) of replacing the natural Progesterone with something synthetic that could stimulate the same physical response?

Hi, I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling down. It must be really hard, though Crailly and Chele are right when they say that now you know what needs treated. How long did it take to get your results? I had a progesterone check done 10 days ago and wondered how much longer I could expect to wait.

Oh pusskins don't despair hunni. I have low progesterone levels and i don't O often - maybe every 2-3 months. However i am now on my first cycle of clomid and that will make me O between CD12-17. I have 2 clomid babies (well they are 6 and 4 now!) and i only suffered 1 m/c whilst TTC with them.

Please don't feel down - now you know whats wrong you have the power to make things right.

xxx

I have been ttc now for 13/14 months.
I had the blood tests done on wednesday, got the results yesterday.
Ive been referred to see a FS (fertility specialist) at my local hospital.
Looking forward to getting the ball rolling.

Hayley, what did they do on your 1st appointment at the FS?

have you tryed progestrone cream to help with low progestrone levels :hugs:

Hey Pusskins,

My girlfriend had the same problem...she was started on Chlomid first off, and they also did IUIs to ensure the sperm would be right THERE when she ovulated. She also had to use progesterone suppositories throughout the TWW (i think) and then for the first tri when she fell pregnant. She went off the chlomid after her first month as it was making her see wonky, and the IUI didn't take that month. She was able to ovulate on her own but they still did an IUI for the second cycle and all the progesterone supps. She got pregnant that cycle and is due July 14th!! It was a long road for them...about 16 months, but she was relieved to finally find out WHY it wasn't happening b/c then they were able to fix it. Frustrating I know, but like you said, at least now you can get the ball rolling!! Good luck! Keep us informed of how it goes!

Its horrible isn't it having to go through all of that, must be so stressful.
Glad she finally got pregnant tho.
How far through the pregnancy have you got to take the meds they give you?
xx

The chlomid you mean? I'm not sure...I think it's just before ovulation happens but I don't really know as she was only on it for the one month, and not when she conceived. She took the progesterone suppositories for the whole 1st tri I believe...

The progesterone suppositories.
I would of thought that they would have to be used through out the 1st tri so you don't miscarry.

How long did she have to wait to see the FS (fertility specialist) ?

Good luck. Just to echo everyone else, at least now you know and there is all sorts of help you can get. I am sure it will lead to a BFP. x

I think she only waited a month for the FS...(which is pretty good here!)
