Baking Soda gender prediction...Just for fun!!!

I know that everything out there is 50/50....but just for fun me and my best friend have done some test to see what the outcome is and one of these is the baking soda test...

you pour your urine on some baking soda...if it fizzes it is a boy and if it does nothing it is a girl...now it may bubble with either because of the air bubbles trapped in the baking soda and bubbling is not the same as a fizz...If you are looking for a fizz it should look like alka seltzer or maybe beer....Anyway
mine fizzed and her's didn't she will find out around Oct 21 what she is having and I still have a while to go...

We are also going to do the red cabbage test just for fun, as we know they are all 50/50...Let you know about that one when we do it!!!

It's cheap fun as opposed to Intelligender hahah. Is there any set time when you should do this? Like... is 7 weeks too early or should you wait until 11 weeks like with Intelligender? Or does it not matter?

I am not sure, but I hear it is best to do it with fmu I paid 51 cent for a box of baking soda and so far all the test have said the same thing for both me and my friend boy for me and girl for her (I don't care either way as long as healty and happy), but we have done ring test, Chinese Gender Chart and Baking Soda so far and we will do red cabbage before the end of October...I have heard really bad reviews about the intelligender test and I would never pay that much for something that is 50/50 (I mean it is just for fun anyway)!!!

Yeah I heard Intelligender picks boy by default and I wouldn't want to waste $30 or so on something that isn't guaranteed like that haha. I may have to give the baking soda a try tomorrow morning. I'm curious.

yeah it is 40 dollars here where I live and a waste of money...This girl who lives in front of me said she did intelligender and it said boy for her...we shall see!!! No different then the Drano test if you ask me!!! They say it smells harsh just like drano and changes colors like draino except I don't think draino does orange (still not paying 40 for it when I can go buy crystal drano for 5

Hahah yeah. I forgot about the Drano test too. So many cheaper and equally accurate options out there!

I am not sure about twins, but maybe it will at least tell you the gender of one of them....The Red Cabbage test is where you get some red cabbage and cut it up and boil it for 10 minutes then you drain it and keep the juice. You add equal parts juice to equal parts urine in a glass container if it is purple it is girl if it turns pinkish it is boy <----I know PINK for BOY WHAT??? here is a link to youtube video's of people doing the test and surprising a lot of them say they are correct...

just thought id pop back. I did this test with fmu and it fizzed like crazy!!! i am indeed having a boy. I did this with my DD also and it did absolutly nothing lol. so i worked for me

It says a tbsp and enough urine to cover the baking soda, but I just put some in the bottom of a disposable bowl and covered it with urine

I did the baking soda test this afternoon. We couldn't tell if it was fizzy or just air bubbles, so my husband did it. His definitely fizzed, mine did nothing compared to his. So I guess I got girl, and he's having a boy! Hahahha
