Hi Everyone! I am so exited to be able to post in the 1st-tri section after stalking the TWW section. :winkwink: I was hoping some of you lovely, newly preggers ladies could help ease my mind!

I got my 1st positive test on Nov. 5th, the 1st day of my LMP was Oct 16th. I have gone to see my doc and he seems to think that it is super surprising that I tested positive so early? I don't use opk's so I have no idea when I ovulated, but I do have regular 27-28 day cycles. (I think I'm just an early ovulator :shrug:). Did any of you ladies get a positive so early on?

I had my levels checked: 11/08/10 they were 179, 11/10/2010 it jumped to 287. Does this sound good, has anyone had similar levels?

Me & my man are just soo excited about our 1st baby!! :cloud9: :baby:. The last week has been a roller-coaster! I wish I wouldn't have found out so soon, but Im glad I did. I have also had some spotting, it has happened after straining to go potty (sry for the TMI) and once after we had sex. The spotting has been mostly brownish, but I did have some bright red which freaked me out! Just a little though. I had a scan done because of it, but it is still to early to see anything. Did any of you ladies have spotting or bleeding in early successful pregnancies? Thank you all for reading & responding! & Congratulations to all of you on your beautiful lil' babies!!

at 5weeks (i thought i was 6+3) i had rusty red bleeding and baddd cramping, had a scan got put back to 5weeks, which means i found out at just 3weeks! Had another scan 10days later and got put to 6+6hb seen! No problems since but was told it was likely a large cyst bursting cause i had lots of free fluid around both ovaries. Spotting is amazingly soooo common, scary though. Congrats!

Hey! Congrats :)

I also got my BFP on Nov 5! That was 1 week before AF was due...once AF was due I didn't get the normal sharp cramps, but maybe a dull almost stomach ache cramp. When I would wipe there would be a brownish discharge/blood. There was once when I wiped and a bright red spot. Kind of scared me but I am assuming its normal. I go to the family dr tomorrow. I'm assuming its just going to be a prego test and maybe exam!

Didn't want to read and run, but I'm afraid I don't have much to offer. I'm very newly PG too... just got my first BFP over the weekend. My last cycle started around the time when yours did (Oct 20), but I ovultaed really early this month, on CD11.

If you got a + on Nov 5th, you were only on CD 21 when you got the BFP, right? I guess that could be right if you have OV'd early, around CD10 or 11, then you could have been 10DPO or so when you got the +, which does happen for some ladies.

I guess the other possibility is that you have really been PG since before your last cycle started. This happened to a friend of mine who's PG right now. She had a period, but was PG. The doctor should be able to shed some light on this for you. My friend's doc told her she was already 7 weeks along when she showed up with morning sickness!

Thanks for the info! It is scary, but I feel pretty positive that everything is ok. I will get the results back from my third set of blood work this afternoon. I am kinda nervous. Hoping that my #'s are just a lilttle too low yet to see anything on the ultrasound. What were your levels when you first found out? I cant wait to see the hb on my 6 wk scan.

Congrats to you!! I tested positive at 7 dpo... which was pretty early.. and my HCG levels came back pretty high as well early. I also spotted a bit early on right around the same time as you.. and it was nothing but implantation spotting....lots of cramping early on too, so dont let that alarm you too much. Best of luck to you :)

MissBabyBump- Congrats to you too! We got our positives pretty early! Im sure your bleeding was just normal pregnancy stuff. Probably just your baby getting cozy. Hope your appt. goes well. My doc did just that, a preggo test & exam. I also had a scan but it was too early to see anything, so It probably wasnt necessary, just a precaution due to the bleeding. If you have your hcg levels checked, keep me posted, we could be bump buddies! (I didnt even know what a bump buddie was until I joined this site) :dohh:

Elliot - Thanks for the response and congrats to you too! At first I thought I was like your friend, that I got pregnant during my last cycle, and I was 7 weeks along, but then I remember my last period was pretty heavy so I knew that couldn't be the case & my levels last week were indicative of a 3-4wk pregnancy. Now Im just waiting for the results of my bloodwork today, to see how much my levels have increased. Have you had your 1st appt? Did you have your hcg levels checked?

Oh, I hope your bloodwork all comes up perfect, Can't Wait! I haven't had my 1st appt yet. In fact, I'm in a bit of a pickle trying to figure out which doc I should go to as I'm not sure where I want to give birth yet, but I do know I odn't want it to be at the hospital my current OBGYN services.

Know I should have had all this set ahead of time. I'm a bit behind the 8-ball I'm afraid!

So you're about 4/5 weeks now? I'm just over 4 also! So dang exciting isn't it! And I don't knwo about you, but I was trying for what seemed like frover, so I'm still jsut over the moon to finally be expecting!

Elliot - We hadn't really been "trying", more like "not preventing" since may. It is so very exciting! You should keep me posted on how your first appt turns out. Don't worry about not having all the details worked out, just enjoy your new lil munchkin! I didnt really consider that, I guess you can choose where you deliver at?? Hmm.. that makes me think. I kinda want to switch to a midwife instead of a Dr. I think it makes it a more personal experience.

I tested positive (a faint positive) at 7 days after I must have ovulated.

Rose_W - Congrats! What kind of test did you use??

There's a photo of the tests I took on the 1st page of my journal (number 1 and 2 were on the day that must have been 7/8days after ovulation)

Rose W - congrats to you! So exciting! I've never used a first response, but will remember that for the future. I used Answer and EPT and found Answer to be much easier to read.

Oh, don't you worry Can'tWait. I'm am so enjoying this! You should see all the tummy rubbing and smiling and napping going on in my house already! Plus, hubby thinks he should clean the bathroom for the next 9 months so I can avoid the chemicals! :winkwink: Talk about cloud 9!

I've thought about going with a midwife too. I'm not ready for home birthing or water birthing or anything, I don't think. But I'd love to avoid a very clinical/technical birth where I just feel like a machine. Know what I mean? I mean... if a girl's gotta go through ALL THAT, she might as well feel a bit pampered and at least be treated like a person, right?!?!
