BBT confusion...!

Hi everyone

I hope someone is able to help me and possibly explain what is happening...

I have been taking my BBT every morning only for the past 6days.
For 3days this week, i took it before getting up literally as soon as i woke up and it read at 36.46c, 36.47c, 36.47.

Now i took it again this morning but i did get up about 20mins before hand to take DD back to bed and it read 36.22c.
Shouldn't it have been higher as i was actually up and about not long before?

It is confusing me and now i am thinking maybe it isn't working properly? or something is wrong with me.....

These are the dates of my readings and temps:
29/8 - 36.43
30/8 - 36.13 (i had a lie in and i took this about 2hrs later than i should have)
31/8 - 36.46
1/9 - 36.47
2/9 - 36.47
3/9 - 36.22 (took 20mins after getting up to take DD back to bed)

I am very new to this so i would love any advice or tips to help.

During your pre ovulation stage your temp can rise and fall without reason, i wouldn't worry about it at all

Thanks i just thought it was odd that it was lower after i have been doing something.

As long as it is normal for this time of the month then i'm happy.

This is my first month temping so i wanted to make i was doing it right.

The great thing about charting temps is that you get to see a bigger picture than just one temp. Keep going and see what the next few do. After a few months of charting you'll see patterns in your cycle, when you ovulated etc.
It is a great way to get to know your body better.
