Hi everyone,
I bought a digital thermometer to see if I can track my BBT and my temperature over the past few days looks like this:

July 31st: 35.9°C
August 1st: 35.8°C (with EWCM, faint reddish spotting and mild cramps and also OH and I DTD if that helps figure things out at all)
August 2nd: 36.3°C (with EWCM, slightly stronger reddish spotting and moderate cramps)
August 3rd: 36.2°C (with light bleeding and moderate cramps)

From what I've been reading I thought that a rise in BBT meant that ovulation had just occurred but it looks like I've just started a period and I didn't think that a period could start that close to ovulation.
Can BBT rise slightly before a period starts or have I gotten all of this totally wrong?

Thanks ladies,
One very confused Gaige :Dhttps://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

Have you downloaded the Fertility Friend app and plugged your temps in? Also, what CD are you?

Never heard of that app but I'll go and look it up now, thank you :)

In terms of cycles, I guess from the light bleeding I have today I would be on CD1.

Definitely download the app and enter all of your temps. You can post your chart in here or in your signature. Just go to fertilityfriend.com and log in with your same info you use on your phone.

What CD would you say yesterday was? I'm just trying to gauge where you were at in your cycle when you started to temp.

That's a really good question. I don't have a clue unfortunately as I came off of the pill (Cerazette) July 18th this year (about two weeks ago) and I stopped the pill with about 6 days left in the packet.

Does that help at all?
Thanks for replying, I really appreciate it!:flower:

Did you have a period after you stopped the pill?

Happy to try and help :)

Nope, this is my first period since stopping it although I was expecting to wait ages considering the horror stories I've read about Cerazette!!

Like I said I've only been off of it for just over 2 weeks but it stopped my periods completely while I was taking it so I have no idea where in my cycle I was when I stopped taking it.

Oh okay! Didn't know you weren't getting a period while on it. I'd go ahead and log this as CD 1 then and continue temping. It might take your body a little while to get back into the swing of things.

Definitely continue to temp, some women bleed when they ovulate (very weird, I know), and maybe this break through bleeding is just knocking come of the dust out? Could also be CD1, won't know til you get a series of temps in though.

Have you been using OPKs at all?

Cool, thank you for the help! I was getting a headache trying to work it all out!!

I giggled at "knocking out some of the dust"
I'll log it as CD1 and keep an eye on the bleeding to make sure it's an actual period rather than random bleeding.
I'm hoping it's CD1 as it means I can get my blood tests sorted out.

With the temping, does it have to be exactly the same time each morning or can it be an hour either way?

You may wish to get a proper BBT thermometer as sometimes the body only shows slight temperature changes, a bbt one has 2 decimal places so 36.17 for example :) got mine from ebay x
