So I have been temping now for two cycles. Well I am on CD 5. I have been super sick the last two weeks. Well when my period started I began taking otc cough medicine. Does anyone know if that would affect my temps? They have been super up and down. As far as I know everything else has been fairly consistent such as my sleep patterns and my wake up time has been the same.

Any thoughts or ideas why it is doing that? My chart is in my signature.

Try to make sure that you are taking your temp while you are still in bed and have not gotten up or sat up etc.
Since you are sick it could be your temp anyway.. Either way this should calm down before ovulation occurs plus there is always next month x

Thanks. I do take it before getting up. I am thinking it's due to being sick. I also read on ff it's common to see fluctuations during your period. So the combination of the two are probably contributing.
