To be completely honest, if I saw someone with that name I would laugh to myself. It reminds me of that old Mel Brooks movie - Spaceballs. I'm thinking that was one of the main character's names.

I'm not a huge fan, (I think of the scooter too) but she's your little girl I'd give her a pretty simple middle name just in case she wants to go by something else though.
I have a friend named Katie, middle name is Marlene. She decided when she was 6 that she hated the name Katie since there were 4 in her class, and asked to go by Marlene for the rest of her life.
Give them options and don't be offended if they choose something else.

I think of the scooter too! I think you could get away with Vespa for a cat, but not for a kid. You have to think long term like if they end up going to law school or medical school...or if they get married "Do you Vespa take John......"
