Hi Ladies,

I have had a bit of a hankering for beer recently and found that becks blue tastes just like the real thing (thanks to all you ladies who recommended it). I went to a retirement do last night and had a couple of bottles and it felt like I was drinking the real thing.

The label does say that the beer contains no more than 0.05% alcohol. Just wondering how many ladies are indulging and how many you think you can "get away with" (so to speak)?

I had 3 bottles last night and am going to another party tonight - I would quite like another couple but not sure if I should seeing as there is still a bit of alcohol in there.

I don't think that 0.05% is that much at all - about the same as Shandy Bass I think - if it were me I would go ahead, but that's just me.

I drank it all through the summer with DD and shes fine! I dont see a problem at all on the label it says achohol free so basically it says 0.05% because of the traces of alcohol - it wont harm ur baby. I asked my midwife. x

i drink becks blue i add a little bit of lemonade but i drank that with normal beer anyhow :D enjoy o.o5 is nothing you dont even have to be 18 to buy it lol its less then shandy x

The others are right, the percentage is so low it won't make it as far as your placenta so feel free to indulge! Have to say I'm absolutely loving the Becks blue, as is my OH - may even continue them after the pregnancy to generally cut down alcohol intake!

My favourite non-alco beer is actually Cobra!! I had it in my local Indian restaurant and it tasted just like a proper beer! I even felt more relaxed and had more fun with the "beer" in my hand......sad or what!!!

I drink Becks blue - I put lime in it! It's gorgeous and its fine to drink because "no more than 0.05%" is just a disclaimer incase there is a trace in it.

It is like the food labels that say "Ingredients NO NUTS" "Factory NO NUTS" but still has a "may contain a trace of nuts" disclaimer

thanks for your replies ladies - not gonna feel guilty about my new beer habit! Lol!

Oooh I like cobra beer, had no idea there was an alcohol-free one!

OK - just read this about cobra alcohol free on ASDA online -

"A 330ml bottle of Cobra Zero% contains under 0.05% of alcohol - less alcohol than found in the equivalent amount of fresh orange juice."

drink yourself happy - they are fine and just ace - they taste just like the real thing -IM DRINKING ONE NOW!!! xxx

You lot are lucky..Im stuck with bavaria % which tastes nothing like beer or if I really search I can find Amstel non alc which is better but costs 3 times the price...The thought of that becks is making my mouth water..
