Just wondering if you all would share your bedtime routines (if you have one). What time do you start, what does your routine consist of, and how old was your LO when you started?

My girls have recently started spending more time awake. Unfortunately, they seem just as content to be awake at night as during the day. I'm hoping to start a bedtime routine soon to see if that makes life easier. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, though? They're preemies, so adjusted age is only 11 days, but they are predictable and go 4 hours between feeds, so I figure it can't hurt.

Just looking for examples, ideas, advice, and tips.

stalking this, my LO's bedtime routine is all over the place despite numerous attempts to get him on track.

My son is 6.5 month old. His night time routine is change into pj's, bottle, book, cuddle with lights off, bed. We dont give him a bath every night, but when we do, we do it first. We have had this general routine for his whole life, but he just within the last month really got the connection.

Oh, and we start at 7:45-8 p.m. when we really notice he is winding down for the night.

I have a 9 month old dd and we have had a bedtime routine since she was 4 weeks old. We wash hands/face on nights with no bath, put on pjs, give bottle and in bed. She usually goes down away and talks to herself until she falls asleep. She goes down at 7:30pm and wakes between 7:30-8:00am the next morning with no night wakings. I think part of why she is a good sleeper is due to the routine.

This is what we have done since she was 2 weeks old...
- she gets a bath around 700 to 730
- I take her to our room with the lights off and the tv on just turned way down
- I dry her off and put on her pjs
- then I nurse her till she falls asleep
****
- She sleeps in her own room now so I move her to her crib, turn on her vaporizer. Before I would move her to the bassinet beside our bed.
- When she wakes if I am already in bed I will bring her to bed and we co-sleep the rest of the night. If I am not in bed yet I will nurse her and put her back into the crib.

She has slept pretty well from the start she woke about every four hours at first but that didn't last to long. I started noticing that I was accidentally waking her when she would stir so I moved her to her crib to see if she would sleep better and not wake me up when she moved in her sleep. She started waking up at 5 or 6 am from that point on. If she wakes at 6 she doesn't always go back down and I sometime have to take that first nap with her but it could be much worse and I am fine with being an early riser with her. * She has had some bad nights and did go back to waking every four hours for a week there. Just so no one thinks she's perfect lol

Our routine is between 6-7pm he'll have a bottle, then he's awake a few hours, he'll take a ten minute nap and then when he wakes between 10pm and 10.30pm we bath him with bedtime bath, moisturise his skin with bedtime lotion, put him in a bedtime nappy and a nice clean sleep suit and vest then he has his last bottle of milk and then he goes down in his crib for the night, he then sleeps from about 11pm to around 8am the next morning :flower:
