Been in hospital all weekend.....

title says it all really, but my baby girl is great thank god ...my oh took me in as iv had an ongoin water infection on/off for weeks, on friday I was being violently sick, there was blood in my urine and I was shaking badly so he took me to the hospital! They examined me and everything with baby girl was fine but I was dehydrated and because id been throwing up so much my potassium levels were too low. They put me on a drip and antibiotics while they tested my blood, urine etc...turns out back in august when this all started, when I when to my gp there were traces of ecoli in my urine and the doctor had failed to tell me and prescribe me the correct antibiotics!! I was in all weekend and it seems I just have the remainders of a water infection left...the midwife advised me to keep drinking extra amounts as pregnant women are much more suseptable to water infections! Im on the mend now thank god and I was sent home last night with iron tablets....I will defo be keeping myself super hydrated from now on! Hope all is well with you ladies...sorry for babbling! xxx

That sounds like a really scarey and horrible experience Glad you sound on the mend now and someone has actually prescribed you the correct medication!!!!!

I had this but not when pregnant and I was terrified then so you must have felt awful! Glad all is well x
