ok so some of you have follow me since ttc, well i have irregular cycles never know when af was coming sop couldnt go by oh af is late, so my question is i had my first u/s that confirmed i was 6 weeks( if i went by af i would be 8 weeks), and i just went for my 14 week appt and doc said uterus measured 2 weeks ahead, well since i couldnt go by af on how far along i was at first thats why we did the first u/s and i was only 6 weeks, so what im saying is if i went by af i would be 17 weeks 4days, is it possible i could actually still be that fair along?? or with the 6 week u/s that was correct and never wrong?? i have been wondering about this, i know ill get the measurments and all that at anatomy scan

You can measure ahead for lots of reasons Hun ... The only way to really tell is by an US :)

I guess by measuring the uterus he checked the fundal height?

That was not very reliable for me with dd2, as I was a month behind at some points on fundal height with dd2.

Scans are more accurate at dating than fundal height, though it could be out a few days too-perhaps your actually somewhere between the two dates?

So I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and another at 7 (for reasons that aren't important); between those ultrasounds the baby grew over 2 weeks worth in the space of 1 week. Which is good since it seemed too small at the 6 week one based on my dates.

Point being a lot of growing takes place around that time, and your 6 week ultrasound may well have been measuring behind and the baby caught up. Maybe it's not a whole 2 weeks ahead of where you thought but closer to 1. At any rate the 6 week scan can be at least a week off from personal experience.

Fundal height is really inaccurate so I wouldn't put too much stock into it. Early ultrasounds (before 12 weeks) are the most accurate way to date a pregnancy since most babies grow at a pretty set rate before following their own rate after first trimester.
