Being sent for a scan tomorrow to make sure everything is ok. What can I expect?

Tomorrow morning I'm having a scan to make sure everything is ok. I should be about 9 weeks if the doctor was right with her dating. As I've had some light bleeding they want to check that everything is ok. What will it be like as I've not had a scan yet?

sticky gunk on your belly and needing to pee when they press down, make sure you drink plenty of water before so they can get a good picture, hope everythings okay love

I was 9 weeks here but baby was measuring 8wk+5.. Has caught up with themselves now though and measuring exactly right

Dont worry too much.. I was bleeding and in reaallllyyy bad pain and everything was fine!

They'll stick the goo on your belly then they'll have a look and see everything is a-okay before they turn the screen on to show you (that waits the worst bit cz their face gives NOTHING away!)
But then once they've checked baby is alright and in the right place, they'll check your ovaries (couldnt find my one it likes to hide) and the rest of your uterus etc..

If you want a pic ASK cause they probably wont give you one automatically

Thanks girls I'm feeling really positive now. And thanks Nade for putting that picture up, it's good to hear from someone who's had a similar experience. I'm from Birmingham UK so I guess the way they do things at the hospital I'm going to isn't too different from yours in Worcester as it's not far lol

Even closer cause I went to Kidderminster Hospital aha!
Yeh just say when they've okay'd everything 'can I get a pic please' If it's the same as at kiddy they'll charge you £5 but its worth the pennies just to stick that pic on the wall next to your bed
I now have 6 pics by my bed! haha

I'll take some money with me then and try and get a pic. Who knows tomorrow I might be posting my own pic on here. Let's hope so! I don't want to get hopes up too much though but am staying positive for now.
