Belly scratching

For as long as I can remember whenever I'm changing Bens nappy, or he doesn't have a body suit on he really scratches his belly badly. He aims for where the nappy goes round his waist.

I once didn't put a body suit on him, just PJs and the next morning his belly was bright red....I never did that again!!

Does anyone know why he might do this? Or do anyone elses LO do this too??

Alex does this too. He does have a very slight rash there though from the paper waistbands from the nappy, so perhaps that's why he's scratching. He mostly bypasses his belly and just starts yanking his boy bits instead!!! x

Oh my Lo is terrible for this aswell! He loves nothing more then having his nappy off, so every evening we leave him rolling around the floor naked!! but he scratches everywhere, his belly and his bum, sometimes really bad, but it doesnt seem to hurt him!

oh and my little boy has also recently discovered his boy bits and is quite fascinated by them, as like the previous poster said has started to by pass his belly and bum and go straight there!!

They start early huh ???

Our Alex does this to, whenever shes starkers she scratches her belly - I honestly think its just because she can! shes not affected by any products and theres no rash

good I didn't think anyone was going to reply!!

I'm glad it's not just my LO!! He hasn't discovered his boy bits though!! He laughs whenever I touch them or wipe them but he doesn't do it himself YET!!

My LO does this also.I think it could be because his bellys abit dry?Thats what I think is wrong with my LO so iv been rubbing moisturiser into his belly every morning and night.xxx
