i have a friend who is 16 living at home with her mum she is 32 weeks pregnant what benefits can she claim? she has had nothing atall n keeps being turned down for anything
Once baby is here she will get tax credits and child benefit. Im not sure how income surport works but couold try that. She wouldnt get JSA now as she is over 29 weeks pregnant. She cant claime child benefit in till she has registered the baby. then once she has started to claime that she can then claime tax credits. There is also the sure start mat grant that is avavilable for low earners for there 1st baby. She has to be on certain benefits which at the moment she isnt but once baby is here and she gets tax credits she can apply then . Thats £500.
