Hey ladies,
I am pregnant with a little boy due on November 24th and I am trying to figure out what the best baby monitor is to buy for him.
I use a regular audio monitor with my first son but I either want a video monitor or movement monitor.
So I guess im wondering what monitors you ladies have used and what results you have gotten from them. I like the idea of being able to see my baby and see that everything is ok but I also really like the idea of a movement monitor that might alert me to a serious issue in time to do something.
They sell the angelcare monitor and angelcare deluxe monitors at babies r us...so I could get them easily enough.
I was actually thinking if I bought just the regular angelcare monitor (not the deluxe) then I could also afford a summer infant day and night monitor (video monitor) as my budget for a monitor is about $200 and they are each about $100.
Is it ridiculous for me to get them both? I adopted my older son (adoption went through at 1 yr old but he was living with my family at birth) so I didnt go through all the worrying about SIDS that I am now. His birth mother was living with us at first and adoption was really mentioned seriously until about 4 months old...so I really just never thought about it.
I am finding myself now feeling kind of anxious about the new baby and doing everything possible to prevent any issues.
So anyways, any advice on monitors from other mommys would be appreciated!!!
Thanks!
Laura
