I have gone for anti allergy ones for both my son and my new baby, cost came in around £60 per mattress, but well worth it

I was going to go for an anti allergy one to, but they all seem so different are any actually safer?

A nice firm mattress is best to reduce the risk of SIDS

Tbh they all have to comply with certain standards etc, so in effect they are all safe?
We have gone for a sprung air flow one from Babies R us? Seems good enough to me!

i'm looking at organic ones from greenbaby.com and littlegreensheep.com, they are quite pricey (£140+) but I am keen that my LO isnt breathing in unecessary chemicals or fibres. i guess it depends on what you mean by safe and what your concerns are - in theory all the baby mattresses available should conform to certain standards as long as you buy them from somewhere reputable?
