Best for basic clothes??

Hi ladies,

Just wondered what shop you buy your basics in... I need to get LO some socks, t-shirts, vests etc... We bought some in Tesco for her 0-3 stuff but i'm popping into town this afternoon.

Where do you go? and how generous are their sizes?

i cant fault next ther stuff doesnt shrink and is generous although expensive but i only buy in the sales

primark!
socks get lost...
vests get stained with sick, leaky nappies and later food...
t shirts suffer the same!
until mine stops being a grub then she will wear primark.
MIL bought all Jasper Conran but I am too scared to put her in it and wreck it!!!

I buy everything from Tesco and Asda. Asda in particular are great on the sizes and don't shrink. - never much choice for boys though!

I used to get it all from tesco as it was convenient but i seem to always go to next now- its only slightly more expensive and a million per cent better quality id rather pay 2 quid more for something better xx

Things like vests and sleep suits I get from tescos, never had a problem with shrinking.
I have found though there is a massive leap between their 3-6 month and 6-9 month though
I have to cut the feet off his 3-6 month sleepsuits because he has long legs but the 6-9 month ones are so long his feet parts flap about when hes rolling around

Asda for vests and sleepsuits, primark for vests - primark sleepsuits are a bit thin.

Asda is good for sizing.

Next is good for quality.

We have had the same tops and trousers from m & s in newborn, up to a month, 0-3 and 3-6 cos they are so nice! £5 for 2 tops and £5 for 2 trousers. Sophie's still in the up to one month in those but she is small for her age with being so early.

You pay a bit more in Next but for things like sleepsuits the quality is great. I get vests in asda and tescos and always gets her socks in gap.

asda tesco and peecocks. h&m and materlan. i get some bits and bobs from primark when i go in there but the one here is so big i always aviod that shop haha.
oh and i do like next stuff aswell..

I get a lot of basic stuff (bodysuits, vests, sleepsuits, t-shirts) in H&M and Sainsbury's. I want to like Next and M&S, and always check out what they have, but 9 times out of 10 I don't like the pattern/designs on them.

You really can't go wrong with next, its fab quality and very reasonably priced

We have sleepsuits from primark, tesco, sainsburys and next - next and sainsburys are the best quality and have the nicest designs but the other ones aren't bad either really. Vests we get from anywhere, I think we have them from primark and asda atm and got no probs with either! We get most of the other clothes (t-shirts, hoodies, trousers) from either next or tesco and they're lovely quality.
I also love next and primark socks!
