Hi:hi:

I hadn't planned to buy a special pillow but whilst Poppy was in Special Care, they gave me a V pillow to feed her on and my mum had one at home so she gave me that to use when Poppy came home. I still use it now. Wouldn't say they are essential but saying that, in the early days when she was feeding every couple of hours through the night I would sometimes fall asleep while feeding  I felt safer knowing that she was resting on a pillow as opposed to in my arms where I could drop her.:dohh:

I still use my V pillow - like Bec says not essential but very useful especially in the early days when they are tiny. :)

I used a normal V pillow but i found after the first week it hindered me more than helped

Yes, I have a V pillow. I still use it when me and Poppy are being lazy! But they have some Widgeys at the group I go to and I think they are better as they are more sturdy and provide my support IMO. Whatever you do, don't buy the one that Mothercare offers. It's absolutely pathetic and offers no support whatsover. Not cheap either!

I started off with a normal pillow, now I just prop him up with my bump wedge (that I never used for my bump, at least I found a use for it now!)

i have one of those ones thats like a semi circle, i dont know what theyre called, but it is useless, it doesnt bring her high enough up so i am still slouching down so she can reach lol, i wouldnt buy another one, when i was preg i was wanting to get one of those my breast friend pillows, they looked good and sturdy, but expensive

x

i have brought one of these

it is quite expensive, but i had seen a couple of people using one on the american baby shows i watch on one of the disovery channels,i didnt know what it was called or if it was available over here but they looked so comfy,i was rather excited when i saw last week that mothercare sell them,so i brought one using some of the maternity grant, the reviews seem pretty good too.

With my others i struggled with the v shaped pillows but they werent very supportive, but this one is quite firm so apparently stops baby moving into the wrong position, helps it to latch on and doesnt move so it is quite supportive on your back!!

£45 well spent imo if it helps me to BF!!

i started by just putting two regular pillows as a V shape round me. Then i purchased one of these https://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-...Widgey-Support-Nursing-Pillow-Blossom(0028562) which helps greatly.

I have a V pillow really help i think!! Some great ones on ebay for really cheap!!
