I do love Next stuff but not how much it costs. :haha: From what I've bought so far I've figured out that for me, Next sleepsuits seem to be the best quality, as the supermarket ones seemed to bobble and stuff quite fast - which is a shame as I really like the Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda ones.

But am I missing some? Which places are generally good quality and which should I avoid?

Matalan are usually ok. We only shop in next for the sale (I'm a crazy lady that queues up at 4am on Boxing Day haha) but I do love the clothes. H&M are good too. My BIL got LO some nice clothes from zara but I'm not sure what the prices are like.

I like tesco. Good quality, wash well and once a month25% off.

M&s are nice and similar quality to next but usually cheaper especially when there's 20% off which is often!

I've been meaning to try mamas and papas too but haven't had an excuse to indulge yet.

M&s stuff is lovely and soft.

M&P is pretty expensive but they have a sale on at the moment.

I love h&m

H&M or M&S

I've never had bobbling issues with basics from Sainsburys or Tesco and some have been through my two kids and nieces inbetween - how are you washing them?

I love sainsburys baby clothes, morrisons do a range called nutmeg which is lovely too, generous sizing and good quality.

I love next stuff too, but it is costly enough. I've tried various places, and I'd recommend mothercare for vests and sleepsuits (if you keep a eye they often do buy 1 pack get 1 half price), M&S for vests and clothes (similar price to next but their sales tend to be good, though not always my style), Sainsburys for clothes but not sleepsuits (proportions didn't seem quite right), Asda for clothes and sleepsuits.

Not really a fan of Tesco stuff. H&Mis a bit hit and miss I find. :flower:

when my daughter was a baby i would get the next baby grows. they can be pricey but the quality is great, they washed well and they were quite thick. i had some from mothercare which i didnt think were as good quality. h&m are good for baby clothes aswell

Inalso like tesco clothing never bobble for me. Primark clothes are cheap but the sleepsuits shrink after one wash! Everything else seems great to me, mothercare, asda, m&p, tesco. I dont often shop in next as its too expensive for me anyway!

Next is usually my fave and I love Mamas & Papas too. Luckily, I live close to a M&P outlet so can pick up some great bargains.

X

I like mamas and papas too but find the sizing really bad. They are small so have to be careful x

Thanks everyone! I wash them on the baby setting on my washing machine. :haha: I guess maybe I'm unlucky. I do find Sainsburys sleepsuits to be a bit small too, actually. I do like a lot of Tesco/Sainsburys/Asda stuff though.

I've tried a lot of shops and for me next is the best quality- softest material, doesn't change shape or bobble, lasts the longest. H&m is also good, m&s is quite nice but I don't think it lasts as well as the other two. I get the vast majority of their things from those three. MIL always buys me things from primark, I actually quite like their sleep suits but their other things are horrible.

My lo grows out of asda stuff before others for example the weight limit is 16lb rather than 18lb.

I kept quite a bit of my eldests stuff for my youngest and noticed the things that lasted were:

Jojo maman bebe (they still looked like new!)
Sainsburys
Marks & Spencer.

Primark are cheap but no NOT last!! I dont think any of the primark stuff was used for both girls
