I know there was a thread already about this, but I cant seem to find it. My baby is moving, several times a day, but I cant figure out what actually makes him move more. I think ice cold water sometimes does...

What have you tried that works? I say this because husband still hasn't felt him move from the outside and I have. I want him to feel Brady!

ohh sugar most definatly!
I dont eat/drink much sugar, yesterday she was quiet, and all I drank was water all day.
Then I decided to drink some fruit juice and she started kicking for 45mins on and off,LOL

For me if I drink a fizzy drink or something caffinated she moves about a little more..obviously..but I've also eaten something I've been craving for a really long time she moves ...or my husband and I just feel around for her on the outside and she usually starts up again....she's also a big mover after I take my prenatal for some reason..but thats right before bed so I'm relaxed already...she moves the most when I'm laying down ready for bed..

Ice, Ice baby! Cold sugary drinks and then lying down! :)

My little man also has a kick after i've eaten.

I find an empty bladder and then cold drinks. I am just having a treat (aspartame free diet cola ice cold and i am getting kicked loads!) I also get loads of kicks after eating porridge!

Cold, sugary and caffeinated usually does the trick for me. So in my case it's a glass of coke with lots of ice :)

sugar drinks do nothing for me

it's cold milk that gets her moving

I often find bubba moves alot when im in the car for some reason. But also eating x

i can typically lay down and pinpoint where she is in my belly (by how hard one side is vs. the other etc...) if i put my hand there and press (not hard or anything...just slight pressure) she moves about--she either likes me or wants me to leave her alone! :haha: then i usually tell SO where to put his hand and she moves for him too. mine also moves randomly throughout the day. i was just eating breakfast and she's moving about--perhaps it's the cold milk i drank?

i once drank a sprite and 2 hours later she moved big time for a while. i don't really drink soda or juice so it was probably crazy sugar buzz for her--i do eat ice cream tho--she likes that! (as do i!) :)

my little one usually responds to anything fizzy or extremely cold! i had abit of a paranoia day where i didnt think she was moving and i ate about ten ice lollies and she soon started dancing again! xxx

Mine too, oh and shopping! Yup, if I'm browsing for nice things she kicks up a storm, that and salsa music. I think she enjoys the happy feelings from me

awww thanks all! so I guess the consensus is cold liquid then!!..... off to fill up a glass with ice and gatorade:)

Then settle down, relax and wait. If nothing happens try a Mars bar

oh and i also put headphones on my belly the other day and turned up the music--she was already moving a bit and it was the end of the work day when i usually take 30 min to just relax..so she moves quite a bit then anyways, especially if i've been on my feet and walk home etc...but she was really moving around a lot with the music. and again i think 'she either likes this or she hates it', but i get to feel her move so i like it! :)

I was taking an hr drive to my best friends place the other day..and of course I couldn't help but belt out to some Whitney Houston and Jewel..and my little girl was in there kicking away...either she was telling me to shut it..or she liked it..

I love singing in the car! really loud too:) Of course I think I sound great. Brady might have a different opinion. I havent noticed if he moves more when I do sing or not. I dont think he does..

the advice for doing a proper "kick count" is to have something cold/sugary and after half an hour lay down on your left side (increased bllod flow me thinks)

works well for me wanting some baby time :D
