Beware signing up to Emma's Diary!

:hugs: that's just awful! Thank you for sharing your story, I've never heard of the site I know there are plenty of others that must do the same thing, because I had so many people calling me when I was pregnant last time, thankfully I had no issues but I can only imagine how difficult that must have been for you :( :hugs: I hate being bothered with sales calls so I will learn from my previous mistake and not sign up for anything this time!

you know what I got in the post and no one has my address as I am careful.BOUNTY! I have not signed up for a thing as I do not give my details out and they know I am pregnant. How? how the hell did they get my address?

I sign up with fake details, fake address, email and phone number. So I get the freebies and they get nothing from me, mwhahahahaha :D

I have just now closed my account on there.. thank you for the heads up

Wow, old thread. Two years in fact.

Steve I am sorry for your loss. The 10 post thing is there to protect site members, maybe post else where to gain the ten posts or contact admin to ask for their help.

I have had the same happen with both my girls who were stillborn. Felt like a punch in the stomach every time and even the MPS couldnt stop them for a bit.

https://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/ is a good link, it says mail but that include emails and the like. I got a form when we registered our daughters deaths but if you have had a miscarriage you wont of got that. :hugs:

I was about to go get my freebies this afternoon after my first midwife appointment this morning but swiftly changed my mind as days following my miscarriage last year my husband answered the phone to someone from British Gas congratulating him on our pregnancy. What was worrying was that this was our private land line which neither of us give out to anyone and I haven't actually got a clue what it is, and the fact that I ticked the little box on the form you hand over to get your freebies saying you don't want your details shared with any other companies. The guy from British Gas didn't even confirm who my husband was, how horrible would it have been if the person answering had been a friend or family member we hadn't old about the pregnancy/miscarriage. I'd be extremely careful about where/who you give any personal details to, especially at a time like this xx

Bounty as just as terrible. Unlike Steve, I got absolutely no apology from the complaint I made to them.

In reality we don't get these freebies for nothing. In return they get your details and make money selling them on. Midwives push them on new pregnant ladies and they aren't aware! The Bounty ladies wander about hospital wards offering to take pictures of your newborn (why do we have to endure the knock on the door and discussing photography and money with our newborn I'll never know!) some also make new mums believe the only way you can get the child benefit forms is in the pack - this is rubbish.

I'd advise anyone to kindly decline and not let this marketing company thrive. Personally!

I didnt take the pack last time as I refused to give details, i cant remember what I did about child ben form., I think as it was second born I didnt need a form or something. But for the pics, they arnt even good pics ffs. I told her I was a photographer and she ran away.

Here you still need a form for second child but they give you one when you register your baby too.

That must have been where I got the form, I cant remember I know I turned the pack down and they still got my details as 2 weeks later they where sending me stuff in the post. So they got my details from the hospital.
