I've just had my first go of feeding Sam in his stretchy wrap. He fed well once he got the hang of it and had a full meal from each side but I'm unsure if I had him wrapped in right. I had a c-section last week so I'm also a bit nervous about wearing him like this as I'm short (5'1") and he's big (9lb14oz at birth) so I have to keep his feet off my stitches, while keeping his head low enough for his mouth to line up with the nipple. I could easily kiss his head throughout feeding him.

The pictures aren't great but should give some idea of how he was.

Sorry i can't tell as no expert but wanted to tag along as want to see what others with some experience say. I'm also post emcs with a LO who loves to be held, so want to get baby wearing figured out before OH gets back to work

I move Oliver down when I'm feeding him, then lift him up and tighten my carrier x

I think generally you know when your baby is uncomfortable?

I can't really see the pics, but I BF upright like that. If baby is squirming or trying to arch back that usually means they are uncomfy

Sounds fine to me. I've usually not been too bothered about getting it 'right' when BF - if LO is comfy enough, you're comfy enough and feeding is working, that's fine by me. Sometimes it results in less than ideal leg positioning or something but as long as baby seems ok, it's not for that long so I don't faff around too much once LO is latched.

It depends on your boobs but if LO is feeling a bit low with your stitches, you could try rolling a muslin and putting it under your boob to lift it slightly (works for my droopy boobs anyway). It doesn't affect LO but means LO can be a bit higher up on you.
