I have had an awful morning :( Have been to the doctors following some mid cycle bleeding. Did a pregnancy test at the doctors and got a BFP but told due to the bleeding chances are the pregnancy wouldn't continue. Feeling distraught!

Has anyone has any similar experiences? Or had a successful pregnancy following bleeding?

Hi dont lose hope my sister had bleeding like period type for 2 months & everything turned out fine & they had said t her t jyst bed rest & that could end in mc but didnt she went on to have a health boy. I thnk rest & try not to stress the docs dont always get a 100% right but thnk tel u that as precaution hopefully it wil be ok x

I bled from my bfp to 6 weeks, so 2 weeks from when I found out, it could be ok still. Very rude of the doctor to say that, bleeding is quite common very early on.not trying to get your hopes up as I dont know but just sayingvthe same happened to me and im sat here with my 4 month old. Good luck, fx for you

thank you both for the kind words. it gives me a little hope! :hugs:

Ur most welcome hun hope ur feeling better x

I bled with both of my pregnancies. Bleeding is actually common, it's old blood that never expelled from a previous cycle. My blood was always brown with some pink in it.

Bleeding is very common in pregnancy so don't lose hope just yet, hope everything is ok.

Xx

I would say as long as you don't have any pain/cramping, then chances are you have a shot of everything turning out ok. Just rest and try to stay positive (I know, easier said then done sometimes) Sending good thoughts you way :hugs:

I had a LOT of red blood around 11 weeks, so much I thought it couldnt possibly NOT be an MC.
they couldnt explain it, but I carried DD to term with no problems except pre eclampsia. She was born on her due date 6lbs 6oz. Perfectly healthy.

it was really insensitive of the Dr to tell you that, although I suppose they want to prepare you for the worst.

Good luck, I hope its good news :)

Hi

thanks all for your kind messages and positive thoughts. Bleeding has stopped but lasted 5 days and became very heavy! Doctor has recommended I do another test in a weeks time to see what has happened! Fingers crossed.

Good luck! Hope it all turns out ok, keeping my fingers crossed for you

I'm new here but wanted to comment really quick. I had A LOT of bleeding during implantation, so I don't know if maybe that could be it? Everyone said it was probably a miscarriage, because I had cramping & lots of bright red blood that lasted days. It was heavy at times, on & off. But I had also been taking baby aspirin, which may have made the bleeding heavier? In any case, the cramping was just implantation, & the bleeding was obviously not a miscarriage...I had a healthy little girl, & no issues at all throughout the rest of the pregnancy. Also, a friend of mine had blood running down her leg a few months into her pregnancy, & that turned out to just be an irritated cervix, which can happen during pregnancy. Don't stress out yet, especially since....if you are still pregnant, stressing out will only cause harm to you and the baby. Be cautiously optimistic & try not to let it get you down, either way. I know it's hard! I was convinced that it was a miscarriage, because I'd listened to so many others who seemed to think there wasn't any way I could have a viable pregnancy when I'd been bleeding RED blood for days...but until it's 100% counted out, there is always hope! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Ask them to check progestrone, I had bleeding with all 3 of my pregnancies, 2 losses and the 3 rd they tested my progesterone and it was super low. They started me on supposatories and I really believe because they caught it so early it saved this pregancy. Hope everything goes well love!
